Here you will find an ever growing list of words that Jess and I are constantly making up. If you’re lucky I may be able to catch her on video saying some of them. Here’s hoping.
Ok…SJ here to add some of our secret love language. Yes it is silly, but it’s fun and it’s ours.
I have to begin with my ever growing list of terms of endearment. These started when Chase was a baby. His nick name was “Monkey”. This quickly turned into about a million different versions of the word. New versions are still made up as I’m typing.
- Mumpty, Mumpt, Mumpty Lumpty, Lumpt, Mumpster, Mumpinster Stew, Munk, Munkdi, Mumpty Lump Lump….
- Used in a sentence: “Tuh mere my wittewl mumpty lump lump…” Translation: “Come here, Chase.”
- Not to be outdone by “Pookie”. My dad gave Chase this nickname. It also has many versions.
- Pooks, Pookinater, Pooksarelli, PookNasty, Pooktastic…
- Used in a sentence: “Pookahrelli stew…lemme lubs em all da times…” Translation: “Chase, give me a hug.”
- Other common phrases in our house.
- “Chissa my Wrips!” Kiss my lips
- “I hab a choapt in my proapt!” I need to cough OR I need some attention.
- “You’re bissinah git solded!” Here comes a scolding!

- “Prawbd” – The name for a frog. A frog, in this house, is when you go in for some chuderds and get a lil’ tongue action instead.
- “Chuderds” – Sugars, as in kisses.
- “Chibbers” – Being cold
- “Schrumpty” – Being grumpy. Can be combined with “Humbdry Schrumpty”..meaning “I’m so hungry that it’s making me pissy. Used in a sentence: “Mumpty, I’m humbdry schrumpty…”

- “S’aint” – It’s lyedacombinapTION of the words “it’s” and “ain’t”. Used in a sentence: “Mumpty, my belwdy s’aint after eating those tacos.”
- “LiedacombinapTION” – You know, it’s like a combination. Used in a sentence: “This tea and chreem cheebse danish are liedacombinapTION”
- Belwdy – Another word for belly. Used in a sentence: “Deir is a baby in my belwdy!”
